adventures in MY world

Where to start……………..

So I would like to think I’m not that catty woman and that I have grown a lot from when I first started dating to have a certain level of maturity…

Last night I received a text ..initially I thought it was my hubby because he was out so I checked the phone despite the hour

Well..it was my ex husband’s current/soon to be ex fiancĂ©/girlfriend

I did not recognize the number but I read the text…..long story short..she wanted my opinion on some concerns of hers and felt being that I was around him and in his life ONCE upon a time, I would be unbiased and honest and probably not judge her the way her family or friends might

So throughout the conversation I am discovering he is still drinking until he is too drunk to drive (that was a HUGE issue for me-which is why I don’t mind a social drink here and there but I have NO tolerance for what I consider excessive drinking) *Josh says it’s judgmental since I am not a over indulger, but I feel like as adults know your limit and don’t take every chance to show your ass or prove how much you can drink..the only one impressed is YOU!!!

Apparently he is STILL a cheater-to which she wanted to know if I thought he would ever change…I just had the talk with my bestie today and we both agree to her point..people don’t change..you can modify your behavior but you don’t change..case in point..once an alcoholic ALWAYS an alcoholic whether you are sober for 10, 15, 40 years!

What I find funny is that when I met him, he was a shy very respectful guy who barely could put together a matching outfit and thought it was okay to mix 3+ colognes together…very much not the GQ model..yet very much NOT the Target model…

Well now this guy thinks he is Dirk Diggler and is quite the busy body

As I am listening to this poor lady pour her heart out to me a stranger and one who by design she should dislike or something…I just felt bad for her…I was strong enough to see the issues and know it was not going to be my life and a fight I wanted and walk away but she is so very “in love” and blinded right now

She told me she is done, the issues are way too many..I wish her luck like I would anyone else…happiness is not to be compromised..life is too short to spend it with tears in your eyes…..

It made me realize why I have no regrets or qualms about my choice to walk away and find happiness and true love and trust and respect

I did wonder later –WHY/HOW she still has my phone #

On a funnier note..I had to go to the DMV today and let me just say if you want speedy service go when you are 9 months pregnant..you hop the entire line..no old person or handicapper is coming between you and the front of the line and that was without asking or requesting

#2-screw you VA DMV for not allowing me to smile on the photo anymore

Now I will be stuck with a busted ass photo until…..

Monday morning thoughts

Yesterday I attended the wake of a co workers wife. Nicest guy ever-not that it makes a difference but they went in to check on one issue and it snowballed into more and long story short she didn't come home. Last week I buried my grandfather. What is my point?
Well as we go fresh into this new week I just want to put on everyones hearts and in the back of your minds to remember tomorrow is NOT promised
Don't wait til tomorrow to show or share your love
I'm not encouraging wreckless abandon and doing everything by the seat of your pants BUT when it comes to matters of the heart think less and act more
Some relationships come and go but always tell those you love that you love
Never make people wonder
Always go back for one more hug one more kiss
Lay in bed just a little longer
Because like my coworker said he reached over the next morning and she wasn't there-you dont/cant get those moments back
To all that know me and love me-thank you for being in my life and thanks for always putting a smile or in some cases a frown but for always being there

Happy monday

It's been a long time

I would like to start off by saying I completely appreciate the runners and bikers on the parkway this morning working out and working out hard…to the gentleman..there is nothing better than some skin and sweat on my drive to work and to the chicks-I appreciate the motivation and for making me want to hit the trails again and rock the tiny shorts and the little sports bra!! We can find encouragement in many areas of life..

So all hail the wonderful Friday!! I am winding down and ready to head to my new digs!!! I will attach a photo of the world’s cutest yet most spoiled dog..she has been rolling with her Dad today so I know she is losing her mind…her Ray time is EXTRA special and the funny part is I don’t ever find them doing anything out the ordinary so what gives!!

Yesterday was the longest day, I am extra sleepy lately but hey surprise surprise when you are carrying a little human it can tire you out…

I want to give another special tribute to my DH. Yesterday he left work to run some errands and being the most terrific individual that he is..when he came back to get me from work..gg was detailed and fragranced with the most yummy scent ..VANILLA!!!

That’s how to make a lady smile, it’s the little things we can do to show someone that we care and that we listen and show how important they are to us

What else has been going on,,,I am just going to ask..is there or is there NOT bathroom etiquette….if there are 4 stalls in a ladies bathroom …if I am in the very end stall…should you NOT go into one of the further two and NOT the two next to me???

Is it so hard to look and make sure all your deposit is GONE?

Are there rules about talking to people who are not your BFF while you are trying to use the bathroom?

And not be to graphic..BUT I am positive there are rules about making noises in the work bathroom…

I didn’t really have much to say but I wanted to make sure my blog still worked..

Hopefully more thoughts to share later
