Opinions

I know I have visited this topic often but I'm gonna briefly touch on it again
I won't define it because we all KNOW what it means, how it affects, and that everyone has one.
Let me say this...do people honestly think when they share their opinion that you are ignorant or have not done your homework- ( I understand there is a small percent that do fit that bill) BUT if I'm saying I'm getting a certain car for example -dont give me your opinion on how you think it sucks and how don't buy that car. I know 3 other people with it and I have read my reviews so STFU! The exception to the opinion clause is family, but joe blow citizen if I didn't ask what you think of something KEEP IT TO YOURSELF

A few more thoughts

Why the hell do people feel when they are late and trying to get their bags in the overhead they can just smash your stuff-not my fault you didn't preboard

Some cultures tend to be more rude hence the indian lady next to me who sure did just kick me and say nothing and who boarded after me and is trying to Bogart
They just said 30 extra seats so why is my row full

When people are walking to their seats are they NOT mindful of their behinds and bags hitting you

Why are the first few rows full!! Move lady MOVE!
And I think I decided I do not like corn rows on males
Not sure I like them on little boys, teenage boys and for damn sure not grown men

Tattoos and airport fun

So I know I stand before you as a heavily tattooed chick BUT can I just put some caveats on that...
#1 WHY does this generation feel anyone will either hire them, respect them, or not fear them when you are inked in the most unprofessional places. Back in the day the big thing was the TRAMP STAMP but in corporate america NO ONE sees that. The face ink and neck ink and hand ink-employers are constantly looked and I think their is a stigma with that! I saw a man working at a hotel and his face was covered-i love ink and tats but that was ATROCIOUS and scary and it made me cringe
I mean I am not advocating always living as a square BUT think about not where you are today but where you want to be and hell at 60 can u cover it up?

Now airport musings
Obese people running through the airport
Old ghetto lady heading to detroit judging everyone in line about what she would and would not do
Hot in the pants young ladies looking like airport hookers
Preboarding rocks!
Baltimore airport is like BET!
Sigh...
One more time OBESE folks in spandex-RUNNING in the airport!
Women in their scarves-NO-maybe I'm a bit old school or maybe its because Hampton pounded it in our heads-dont come out the house looking anything less than presentable
Dang it-BIG people in skinny jeans! WTF noooooo
And most importantly I would like to say thank you for all the hot guys here with their equally hot boyfriends!

attitudes

Let me just say this….attitudes are not people’s attractive quality

It is amazing how quickly folks will catch an attitude…for something like OH not agreeing with them, I mean to have the audacity, I can formulate my opinion and feel how I feel about whatever I want. I am a grown ass woman..further those same individuals are the main ones who hold tight to their opinions on any and everything

I am just amazed at the way people walk around through life….and then the things done out of spite, like oh I won’t talk to you or going out of your way to speak to others and not me. Do you HONESTLY think at 30 years old I really give a rat’s ass! I do NOT. I’m sure at some point (like high school) I cared about what EVERYONE else thought and felt and wanted to fit in, NOW having lived some life and made my own mistakes and successes unless you are my parents or some other highly respected advisor in my life you can go kick rocks! Really and truly!

I have a supervisor who COMPLETELY fits this bill, she is even so obvious that she asks EVERYONE on our team about their kids and pretends to care (this lady couldn’t keep a gerbil alive with as much evil as she has) and then who does she NOT ask –oh the pregnant one..

I kinda feel glad that she won’t waste her evil little breath on me so then I do not have to pretend to be nice and respond to her, keep your distance, I don’t need it

On another subject, I was having a debate with someone today who felt that taxi drivers were being unfairly profiled and targeted and I feel like this, whatever keeps me safe and sound, I am a bit more tolerable of…Unfortunately the world we live in right now due to 9/11 and other events has lead us to stay in a state of hyper sensitivity, but I strongly believe in error on the side of safety and caution.. Having worked in law enforcement I also understand the importance of officer safety and doing a job and wanting to go home at the end of the day. I think that is something folks will NEVER understand unless they have been on the other end of going into a high intensity critical situation…Otherwise you are just another misinformed opinion and spectator….

It’s easy to say oh the police profile all black people or certain people within a demographic and you know what-I don’t deny that cops just like ANY other job or occupation has it bad apples BUT for the most part they do their job like everyone else…and non law enforcement are in no opinion to judge because you don’t have the situational awareness and information that they received at the beginning of their shift, you don’t know why they are on high alert, you may not also know what it’s like to have a suspect pull a gun on you or be on the lookout for say a cop killer…so my advice is for the public to STAY in their lane, if something is really and truly wrong it will come to light, but if you don’t know the story and you are just observing, continue on and just be good at your job

Now this person and I did not see eye to eye on this subject but you know what..oh well I am entitled to my opinion, so what!

It would be easy to catch an attitude about this but REALLY ..why be that silly….and back to the subject of ATTITUDES

What do you really gain by getting an attitude, I mean for me honestly  it just makes me lose respect for you, because it shows you do not know how to temper your emotions or that you are unable to have a healthy clean debate and just agree to disagree…

There is a quote and I cannot remember the source but I am not claiming it BUT it says

HE WHO ANGERS YOU, CONTROLS YOU

Life is too short….you can simply say I’m sorry you don’t agree and move on, but if you are debating with another adult you should both be able to walk away with a smile and satisfaction of a great debate…right Josh!!! My favorite debate partner

A little positive from a site of mine i like-THE DAILY LOVE

A lot of folks tend to think, when they are pursuing their dreams, that when things aren't going the way they "want" or the way they "planned", that they should give up. Many of my clients and readers want to give up when things get a little tough. And it's interesting to me to see how easy it is for people to BELIEVE the negative voice in their head, far more than their positive and neutral voices.

It's almost like we are so afraid of getting our heart broken by our dream not coming true that any sign of setback, let down or unmet expectations are an excuse to stop trying.

But see, the thing is, walking on The Path will very rarely ever meet your "expectations". The Uni-verse speaks in paradox. What looks big, is usually small; what looks scary is usually joyful; what seems impossible is very much achievable and what seems hard can be easy. It's just being able to understand the paradoxical nature of The Uni-verse as well as having the emotional fitness and humility to not have to buy into the thought that everything has to go "your way".

Instead of judging a situation as "bad", a "setback" or a "quitting point", look at it this way: see GRACE.

You have no idea how protected, guided and looked after you are. When you look back at this moment in a few weeks, months or years, you very well will look back and see a blessing instead of a setback. So train your mind to refrain from judging a situation. Believe in grace. Instead of running away from your dreams, just sit with the uncomfortable feelings, meditate, take care of yourself and let them pass through you.

Do not run away because it is uncomfortable. Stay BECAUSE it is uncomfortable. Let your fears be purified by facing them. Let your judgments fade by not reacting to them and seeing how they play out over time. Humble yourself and know that things don't have to go YOUR WAY for you to be happy. There could be a way that is being guided from The Uni-verse that is much greater than you could ever imagine.

Emotional fitness, humility and a grace-filled mind will take you where you need to go. Let go of the judgments. Let go of the expectations and just show up fully with whatever you are feeling today. But do not turn back. Stay in the fire. You are not being burned - you are being purified

Question

So me and Kelz...and yes I said me and ....anyway in todays celebrity news Kim k got engaged and with a 20 carat ring so my question is..as a celeb do you HAVE to have an obnoxious ostentatious ring ...I mean I get its supposed to correlate with your monthly income but come on...is that what marriage is really about ..I mean beyonces ring is too big to even wear on a regular basis...what's the point of that
I don't get it
The bigger the ring doesn't guarantee a happy or lasting marriage ...food for thought
